I was on the United Airlines website - had a question about the flight I needed and saw the customer sevice number "877-205-2084". Didn't doubt it because I was on United Airlines website looking at the flights and found the number to call. Everything seemed legit when they said they could get me on the flight. Said they couldn't take credit card info over the phone so they would email the authorization form. All seemed legit. Promised confirmation number from airline - it was received, but without any ticket numbers on flights. Replied to email and they said they were waiting on that info and would send updated confirmation from airlines within 24 hours. Went back to United website and the confirmation number I was given couldnt be located. I then found the "800" number and was told airline had no records regarding that flight for me. Got the "runaround" for several days from the original customer service person (and their "supervisor") and was finally sent an email saying cancellation was confirmed and that $773 would be refunded, BUT that there was a $773 cancellation fee. I also found out (too late) that the particular flight I was booking had already been cancled by the airline about the same time I was paying for it. .css-1w6dufj{-webkit-box-flex:0;-webkit-flex-grow:0;-ms-flex-positive:0;flex-grow:0 [BBB Scam Type: Online Purchase] [Business: Flightfinder] [Location: NE, USA- 68845]
