Applied for a home health RN position through Indeed and was contacted by "Mali Polite" for a virtual interview. Interview was conducted via Google Meet. 1 week later, received a phone call from Mali with an offer. The offer letter was sent as a generic word document via email, with no signature required, and signed by "Troy *****". The offer sounded too good to be true ($50/hr for guaranteed 20 hours/week, even though they only had 1 patient available for 8 hours per week currently). This is when I started looking into things. The phone number Mali used (912-656-8402) was linked to a hair salon as well as a mental health clinic, both based in Maryland. The address listed on the company website was an apartment complex in McDonough, GA. I looked up the business license and the address listed on the business license was another apartment complex in Pooler, GA. The business license was also under a different name, "Bahiyah *******". I contacted Mali and voiced my concerns. She walked me through all the discrepancies and made it SEEM like it all added up. The company did not have me fill out any paperwork, but they had me send a copy of my RN license and drivers license via email. I completed a background check via Checkr, which resulted completely cleared/clean in all aspects. I then received an email notifying me that my offer was rescinded.
