So a scammer tried to "sell me a puppy" So I live on Canada's east coast. Last week I put up an advertisement saying I was looking for a puppy of the small breed variety and was looking to pay about $300 bucks. This morning I get a text saying we have a small yorkie puppy. $300 do you want it? The number was an Arizona number so naturally I asked, can I see the puppy? Where are you from? They say. "Give me an e-mail address to send you pics" I give them an e-mail (one that I use registered under an alias) and ask again where they are from, stating that their number is from outside my area. They say. Yea I am from Toronto. Then they ask for my full address for house delivery. I ask how are you planning delivery? I haven't seen the dog yet. And how were you expecting payment. (I've suspected a scammer for a while now and am waiting for the old Western Union or Paypal trick to kick in) They reply with the following texts "You will email me your full house address" "Your full names" "Your phone numbers" "Your state and city" This is where I am thinking.
