I have been receiving calls for over a year from multiple numbers offering a loan, which I never applied for, at a ridiculously low rate. I answered one of the first times they called and it sent so many red flags that I hung up on the person (for example trying to get me to “verify” financial and personal information over the phone). Since those initial calls in January 2025, I receive daily phone calls from multiple phone numbers. I also receive occasional text messages. I am on the DNC list. I have tried blocking the numbers and reporting them as spam through my cell provider, but they just call through different numbers. Here is the voice message that was most recently left from the number (608) 435-7917: “Hello, this is Kiana calling with an update regarding your personal loan. This is Kiana Navarro. I'm with the executive loan review team. I wanted to reach out because, um, We just finished reviewing your file and I do have a status update for you. Based on the underwriting notes that's I see here. It looks like we should be able to move with your approval forward. If you're still looking to wrap this up, you can press 2 now or give us a call back at 866-959-1606. And if you did receive a personalized approval notice already from us, just have that reference number handy when you speak with underwriting. Since the approval window is time sensitive, we do need to hear from you by the end of this week, February 14th, otherwise you have to reapply if you're still interested.“ .css-c8hvdp{--Grid-columns:12;-webkit-flex-direction:row;-ms-flex-direction:row;flex-direction:row;min-width:0;box-sizing:border-box;display:-webkit-box;display:-webkit-flex;display:-ms-flexbox;display:flex;-webkit-box-flex-wrap:wrap;-webkit-flex-wrap:wrap;-ms-flex-wrap:wrap;flex-wrap:wrap;gap:var(--Grid-rowSpacing) var(--Grid-columnS [BBB Scam Type: Phishing] [Business: Loan Call] [Location: MN, USA- 55350]
