MEV Bot Scam Beware Hi Crypto community, I've been involved in a malicious scam and want to make sure that nobody else falls victim to this as it is unfair. I follow tech videos on YouTube regularly and came across a video by [KevinCrypto446](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDh7ctiSKOA&t=30s) who does videos on how to make your own Ethereum contracts and how to utilize Solidity. Anyway, long story short, I followed the video on how to deploy an MEV bot to make money on ETH slippage and it turned out to be a scam. The video guides you through Remix IDE and has a link to some custom code that you add to the code editor as 'bot.sol'. This smart contract is then deployed and then you are instructed to copy and paste the address into Etherscan to check that it is correct. **\*\*\*ALERT! THIS IS WHERE THE SCAM BEGINS\*\*** Once you have copied and pasted (what appears to be) your own new smart contract address, the video then recommends that you transfer at least 1 ETH to that new address (to avoid slippage). \*\*\*I naively transferred my money across at this point because I thought that the contract I just deployed was my own personal contract and not someone else's address)\*\*\* As soon as your funds have been transferred to the new contract, the video then instructs you to go back into Remix IDE and click 'Start' under 'Deployed Contracts' to start the MEV bot. \*\*\*At this point you'd be rubbing your hands together thinking 'this is it', but it's quite the opposite\*\*\* **Perception:** When you click 'Start', this is supposed to (in theory) start the arbitrage bot to start generating you some profits. The video states that once you click start, you can leave the bot to run and come back in around 12 hours to see how much profit it has generated. KevinCrypto446 insisted in his YouTube video that he had made around 17% profits in that initial 12-hour period. **Reality:** When you click 'start', this initiates an automatic transfer between your 'new'
