I received a text message from a number flagged as spam/junk. It stated that I had a balance of $574.80 due to Apria DME. The text instructed me to call 833-641-6706 or reply with Stop to opt out. Sent a text saying “Hello, this is Apria! Call 833-641-6706 to set up a payment method for your $631.00 balance due. Thank you. Reply STOP to optout. Msg&Data rates may apply.” After I received equipment from Apria Healthcare. I do not owe a balance and that number does not belong to the company. I checked my statement on the Apria website and also called them using the number from their website (different than either number from the text) and they show no balance due. The two numbers are not listed for them, but the amount shown in the text would be the proper amount for my bill, if I had one. That is what is concerning. Received a text message claiming to be from Apria to pay a balance due. Phone number they wanted me to call was 833-641-6706. Called the actual Apria line and the person verified there was no balance due thankfully and I was most likely being scammed. Shietly after receiving a call from Apria to resupply I received the following text message: Hello, this is Apria! Call 833-641-6706 to set up a payment method for your $50.25 balance due. Thank you. Reply STOP to optout. Msg&Data rates may apply. [BBB Scam Type: Healthcare/Medicaid/Medicare] [Business: Apria / impostor] [Location: OR, USA - 97123]

This was the third time that "Apria" has texted me to call about an unpaid bill. After checking Apria's website to make sure that I was current I decided to report them. The three texts said that I had unpaid balances of $184.74 on July 18, $219.25 on September 4, and $184.74 on December 5. The text came from 1-855-970-8980 but requested that I call 833-641-6706 (the 7/18 text did not have dashes as part of the phone number). I received a text claiming to be Apria healthcare from the number (855) 970-8980: “ Hello, this is Apria! Call 833-641-6706 to set up a payment method for your $631.00 balance due. Thank you. Reply STOP to optout. Msg&Data rates may apply.” I am a new customer with Apria, and I recognized that this was not their number. I called the official Apria line and my balance is $0.
