Husband needed to get a new passport as his was expired. He went online to renew (instead of going to the public library.) He went to a site that populated called govassist.com as the ad said passport renewal. Paid $148 on Feb 5 for the renewal. Went back and forth numerous times because they didn't like his photo the first, second or third time it was sent. Took another photo, sent it on March 14, charged another $149 on March 16th. Were sent a link to "review the draft of his passport" and the link was "broken", would not open. A Customer support box comes up and the number goes to a site that tries to sell you a phone, or a medical alert pendant, so I knew it was a scam. I have cancelled the credit card, claimed the charges, but the scammer has ALL the critical info for my husband. The phone number on the charge to the card was GOVASSIST.COM 856-5563505 WA @media (min-width:768px){.css-1w6dufj{-webkit-box-flex:0;-webkit-flex-grow:0;-ms-flex-positive:0;flex-grow:0;-webkit-flex-basis:auto;-ms- [BBB Scam Type: Online Purchase] [Business: GovAssist LLC] [Location: MO, USA- 63028]
